When people ask me why I wanted to start my own coffee line, I tell them it"s because I love a good cup of coffee! When I was a kid growing up in Croatia, my Grandmother used to give me sweet coffee in a bowl to dip my bread in for breakfast. Being a successful singer and composer, I have written some of my biggest hits driving around town with a note pad, pen and a cup of coffee. I have always thought it would be fun to have my own line and that idea came to life in the parking lot of SteelHeart Studios.
I was speaking to a friend's accountant and somehow we fell into a conversation about coffee. She mentioned she had a friend who has been importing and roasting coffee his whole life. I knew it was meant to be so I immediately set up a meeting the next day. I visited his plant and we searched through the coffee beans until I found the ones I liked. We roasted until we felt they were done to perfection, SteelHeart Coffee was born!
I live my life with integrity and I do what I say. I don't like to do anything half way and if I am going to put my name on it, it's going to be something that I really believe in. A good cup of coffee has always given me a moment of peace, so why settle for anything less then the best. Sit back & enjoy!
